Health and Safety Training

The Safety Network (Africa) (Pty) Ltd, an FP&M SETA Accredited Training Institution, with Accreditation Number: FPM-2022-000037045, has competent staff standing by that can assist in providing health and safety training. Our facilitators are well qualified, skilled and experienced in the field of health and safety.

We offer the following health and safety training courses in the form of a workshop, viz.

  • OHSAct Training – Legal Liability – 1 Day;
  • Health and Safety Representative Training Course – 1 Day;
  • Incident Investigation Training Course – 1 Day;
  • Hazardous Chemical Agents (Chemical Safety) Training – 1 Day;
  • Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA) – 1 Day;
  • Asbestos Abatement Training - 1 Day;
  • Asbestos Refresher - ½ Day;
  • Stacking & Storage Training – 1 Day; and
  • Fire Fighting Training Course – 5 Hours.

Other courses presented on request:

  • Introduction to OHSAct (4 Hours);
  • Confined Space / Permit to Work / Lock Out-Tag Out, etc. - ½ Day;
  • Noise-Induced Hearing Loss Training – 2 Hour sessions;
  • Ergonomics Awareness Training – 2 Hour sessions.

We will also be able to offer the following SETA Unit Standard Accredited Courses.

  • Receive, handle and store Hazardous Chemicals Safely – 3 Days;
  • Apply Fire-Fighting Techniques – 2 Days;
  • Apply Health and Safety to work area – 2 Days;
  • Conduct a continuous risk assessment – 3 Days;
  • Perform basic life support and First Aid - 2½ Days;
  • Provide risk based primary emergency care/first aid in the workplace - 3½ Days; and
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 85 of 1993 – 3 Days.
