Our Company Overview
The Safety Network (Africa) (Pty) Ltd started business in the year 2000, with health and safety training as its main focus. In 2001 the focus shifted to a broader spectrum of products and services, which included health and safety legal compliance audits, consultancy work, and incident investigations. During this time we also obtained approval from the Department of Labour to provide first aid training in levels 1, 2 and 3.
In 2003, SafeNet Africa was approved by the Department of Employment and Labour as an Approved Inspection Authority for Occupational Health and Hygiene.
SafeNet Africa has over the years grown in stature and has established itself as a leading service provider in the field of occupational health and safety. In 2014 SafeNet Africa became the third Approved Inspection Authority in South Africa to obtain SANAS Accreditation in SANS 17020, for measuring noise, hazardous chemical substances, lead, asbestos and evaluation of ventilation systems for hazardous biological agents.
Since then we have expanded our services in occupational health and hygiene and one of our major focus areas currently is asbestos management. We have established a fully functional laboratory to identify and count asbestos fibres.
SafeNet Africa will continue to provide products and services to meet the health and safety needs of industry.
